Silver Glass

Silver Glass makes me look back

Into the eyes of shame

The heart, it pleads for me to find

How to, this horror, tame

I used to be the one I’d trust

To care for those around me

Today I hide, near dead inside

E’er since this demon’s found me.

You’ll never know the strength I’ve lost

Within, the framework’s frail

But outwardly, all things seem fine

Although the glow has paled

Oh, Silver Glass, in my days past

I loved the truth you told

Since my life’s now err’s tome, somehow

Your veritas gets old
